Christopher Taylor

On July 27, 2003, Christopher Taylor II was born to Terri Frazier and Christopher Taylor Sr. He was born and raised in the city of New Orleans. He now lives in Laplace, LA with his mom and dad, Terri and Enoch Frazier. Christopher says that his parents are the most important people in his life. They provide him with the best advice and are always there when he needs them. He says that even though Enoch is not his biological father, he sees him as his dad. Christopher attends East St. John High School in Reserve, Louisiana. He is a part of the school’s basketball team and Beta Club and is still looking to join more clubs in the future. Christopher has always been an Honor Roll student during his educational career. He has won Elementary School Student of the Year and Middle School Student of the year for both his school and St. John the Baptist Parish in 5th and 8th grade.

Some of Christopher’s writing experiences has come from writing with his middle school online paper Orynews.com. In the JLO Journal he wrote about sports, clothing, and entertainment. He also worked with the National Association of Black Journalists’ High School Journalism Program in the summer of 2017. Christopher says he hopes to attend Xavier University of New Orleans and study Mass Communications. He was inspired to attended Xavier by his mother who attended Xavier to study Pharmacy. Some of Christopher’s interest are sports, specifically basketball. He has been playing basketball since he was 6 or 7. He played recreational basketball when he was younger, but began playing AAU basketball in 4th grade. He also has an interest in video games and clothing. He loves to follow and wear the brand Supreme. Supreme was originally known as a skateboard brand, but has recently become mainly streetwear. He got an interest in clothing from his dad, Enoch, who is always there to get those 10:00 am drops every Thursday morning.

Christopher is looking forward to attending different events and being able to work alongside
professional journalists. He also hopes to learn a lot from our program and is excited for what is to come in the future.
