Two teams with high hopes and determination, both working for the common goal of being in a Bowl game.
Southern Miss and UL Lafayette are trying to make the Superdome their home away from home. “Playing in the Superdome and being from covington it’s a good feeling”, said Otha Peters.
Otha attened the local Saints games. His high school never made it to the dome so being here now is amazing. Otha said that getting over the doubt in his mind was the hardest thing he had to face in oder to get here and be ready for the game.
In Retrospect, ULL head coach Mark Hudspeth has made this his home for five years and being here now feels as good as the first time.
“We love playing here and we love coming to New Orleans and we have a lot of players from New Orleans. Some ways it is their home and we love coming here.”
Meanwhile QB Anthony Jennings says that he had never been in the dome before Wednesday. ” It’s a great atmosphere and I’m ready to light it up on Saturday.”
